M3 Wins BILD Project of the Year
IBI-designed M3 Condos at M City in Mississauga was recently recognized at the 39th annual BILD Awards, taking home Project of the Year in the Mid/High-Rise category. The Awards, presented by the Building Industry and Land Development Association, have honoured the best in new home construction in the Greater Toronto Area since 1980. The awards celebrate all phases of bringing a new community to life, from land use to technical suite design, to creative marketing techniques.
M3 is the third tower of Rogers Real Estate Development’s 8-tower, 15-acre, 4.3 million sq. ft. master-planned community that is set to define the western edge of downtown Mississauga. Soaring to 81 stories, M3 will become the tallest tower in the city by a significant margin, and one of the tallest buildings in the GTA.
Our slender design features a subtle twist at the lower and upper parts of the tower and a dramatic sloped crown at the top, preserving the spirit of movement and twists that made the M City 1 and 2 buildings so striking. The tower’s verticality is enhanced by a dynamic façade defined by saw tooth balconies that create a black and white diagonal pattern up the building, providing scale, texture and materiality.
